Votive Temple to Shirdi Sai Baba
Ashram Shree Peetha Nilaya, Heidenrod, Germany
2016

The votive temple of Shirdi Sai Baba was born at the request of a group of Italian devotees who referred to the ashram of Paramahamsa Sri Swami Vishwananda in Germany. The need was to create a small place of worship, which would guard the statue of the mystic and at the same time allow to carry out the rituals of worship typical of Hindu spirituality.

The dome is characterized by the strong and suggestive intimacy underlined by a "starry sky" propped up from which natural light gently penetrates.

The entrance, on the other hand, is closed by a fully glazed door. This allows you to honor the statue of the mystic even just passing in front of it, still being able to take a look inside, but thanks to the strong overhang on the outside, the internal lighting that accompanies the moment of recollection is mitigated.
