Public Library
Lomè, Togo
2014
The project was born on the original initiative of L'Africaine d'architecture, which is part of the strategy of the #TechPark initiative, and at the request of the Togolese architect Sénamé Koffi who in 2009 had followed the training course on curved surface structures held in San Potito Sannitico (CE, Italy). The idea is to build a neighborhood library in the park of the Ministry of Posts and Economy in Lomè which finances its construction. The project includes a room of about 40 square meters divided into two domes made with blocks of stabilized earth. The realization was made during a professionalizing workshop that saw local construction workers and architecture students from the faculty of Lomé as participants
